How-To Article: Brown Paper Tickets MailChimp Integration

Brown Paper Tickets MailChimp Integration

Connecting with MailChimp

After creating your Brown Paper Tickets event, the integration with MailChimp will allow you to send event invitations to your MailChimp list. You can then track the opens and clicks to measure your ROI, right in MailCimp's built-in reporting feature.

To get started, from your Brown Paper Tickets dashboard, choose "Manage Your Events" from the sidebar.

"Manage Your Events"

After picking the event you want to use, in the navigation bar, choose the "Promote" link.

"Promote your event"

Brown Paper Tickets will present you with a list of options to choose from. Click on the MailChimp logo to connect your Brown Paper Tickets account with MailChimp. Brown Paper Tickets will pass you over to MailChimp to log in with your username and password.

Design Your Campaign

After successfully logging in, you'll be redirected back to Brown Paper tickets to pick your list and template layout for your campaign. BPT offers a choice between a one-column or two-column pre-designed template.

"Choose your template"

Click the "Continue" button to go back to your MailChimp account and continue with the campaign setup process. From here, you'll be dumped back into MailChimp's campaign editor on the "Setup" step, where you can add a subject line, from name, and reply-to address.

"MailChimp Setup Step"

After you've set up your campaign information, you can then continue to the "Design" step. From here, you can edit the campaign's information in MailChimp's built-in editor. (Sorry, no drag-and-drop support, yet.) If you'd like to change templates, you can also do that from this step. For more information about keeping your content when switching temlates, check out our "Knowledge Base article".

"Design your campaign"

After making any remaining tweaks, you can generate a plain-text campaign automatically, and then you're ready to send to your subscribers!
