Customers can sign up on the create_account page by simply ticking the newsletter box. If this box is ticked their firstname, lastname and email are sent to your list using the MailChimp Magic.

Includes all new Column Side Box using Ajaxy goodness for instant signup - Guests (non-customers) AND customers (don't need to be logged in!) can use this feature to sign up.

Customers who have an account can subscribe and unsubscribe from within their account page.

Using the Webhook system, any registered customer who subscribes or unsubscribes is automatically updated in your osCommerce shop. In this way the data held at MailChimp is always the same as the data held at your shop.

This addon was super simple to install, so I was very happy about that. The store looks no different, all that has changed is that when customers tick the 'Newsletter' box they are automatically added to your Mailchimp list (and removed if they untick the box of course). osCommerce also comes with a Mailchimp eCommerce360 module, I turned it on and now I can see exactly how much revenue my email campaigns bring in. Brilliant!

This is an excellent integration of the two platforms. It works flawlessly and was installed in no time. We had already being using Mailchimp as a marketing tool by collecting emaill addresses from our bricks and morter store and are now very happy to have it linked to our OSC newletter sign up box plus allowing potential customers to sign up to newsletter without have to create account or log in.
